Dear children,
I saw quite a number of disappointed faces when you received your English test marks today. As a class, we did not hit our target. Only 11 of you scored 38 marks and above out of a total of 45 marks. These children are:
David (41.5)
Raeann (41)
Raeann (41)
Seth and Luke (40.5)
Zane (40)
Thaneeisha (39.5)
Ashley and Joel (39)
Joshua (38.5)
Ezra and Natalie (38)
Although 11 is still quite a small number, I'm glad that we improved a little from last term's English test, where we had only 7 of you hitting the target. Let's continue to work hard together, 2/2! :)
I'm extremely glad that 6 children have made significant improvements of 4 marks or more from the Practice Test. They are:
Dylan (+9.5)
Isaac (+6.5)
Elizabeth (+6)
Joel and Qistina (+4.5)
Vanessa (+4)
I'm very proud of you! Keep up the good work! :)
If you did not do too well this time round, there are two important questions you should be asking yourself:
1) Where did I go wrong?
2) How can I become better?
Please remember to share your marks with your parents because they are the ones who have worked very hard with you! You will be able to bring home your paper on Monday after I've marked the corrections you did today.
Do you remember the seeds that were given out as prizes to Jonathan, Natalie and Richelle? Jonathan's seeds have sprouted! This is a photograph he would like to share with you:
Just as the sprouts continue to grow and blossom, may all of us continue to grow to become better persons too! :)
Here's today's reminder:
1) Please pass to your parents the letter regarding the 80th Anniversary Thanksgiving Dinner. Let's come together and celebrate! If your family would like to attend this celebration but does not have 10 people to form a table, you can get your parents to send me a message. I will try to put you together with another family from our class. Send me a message too if you're attending and need halal food or vegetarian food.
Have an enjoyable weekend with your family! :)
