Dear children,
You must have enjoyed your first drama lesson with Ms Ana today! I saw all of you having fun creating freeze frames of scenes at a birthday celebration, a restaurant, a playground, and a zoo. You also learnt to be consistent and to use big actions. See the video and the photographs below:
Please remember to pass the handouts that Ms Ana gave you to your parents.
We gave out some bookshop vouchers to the ten children who had the most stamps on their "Catch Me Doing Right" cards. These children are: Brian, Jenna, Risa, Elizabeth, Isaac, Janine, Natalie, Lea, Elijah and Richelle. Congratulations! With or without prizes, I hope everyone in P2/2 JOY will continue to do the right things with joyful hearts! :)
With the short time that we had together, we read Chicken Food and got started on the vocabulary exercises in your booklets.
We discussed words like "backyard", "spade", "wriggled", "scurry", "flurry" and "humongous". Vanessa did the Chicken Wobble for us too. We also discussed the difference between the "chicken burger" in Chicken Food and the "chicken burger" we buy from McDonalds. Do you still remember the two different prepositions that David used to tell us the difference? ;)
I logged on to KooBits two days ago to check on your progress. Once again, I must say that I was amazed by your hard work and perseverance!
P2/2 JOY has more than 8000 Challenge Points! We're ahead of the second class in Singapore by more than 2700 Points. There are still 16 more days till the end of the Champion Class Challenge. Let's press on! :)
I also saw that many of you are also mastering more and more skills to move up the charts for the various Math Leagues. With one week of effort, Natalie has moved up two levels to the Heroes League! She's just 14 skills away from mastering all the P2 skills now!
Jenna has moved up two levels too; she's now joined Elijah in the Genius League. Zhi Zong has entered the Genius League as well!
Janine, Ezra and Isaac have moved up to the Masters League, while Christian and Joel have moved up to the Champions League.
That's awesome progress! Keep learning, 2/2! :)
**Here's a little reminder about the rule I read on KooBits: "When a class wins the Champion Class, its pupils with 100 CPs and above will get the badges. Pupils who fail to get at least 100 CPs will not get the badge even though the class wins the challenge."
Continue to work hard, and keep up the good work!
For today and tomorrow, concentrate on preparing for your Chinese Language Test and your English Listening Comprehension Test tomorrow.
See you tomorrow! :)
