Dear children,
I hope you did your best for your Chinese Language Test and your English Listening Comprehension Test today! I'm looking forward to hearing good news! :)
During English lesson, we discussed more vocabulary from Chicken Food and talked about the synonyms of some words such as "exhausted", "spotless", "drowsy", "broad", "peak", "chilly", "halt" and "plenty". Do you remember what the word "synonym" means? ;) Share some synonyms you learnt with your parents!
Some of you who were faster in your work managed to move on to start on a prepositions exercise that helped you practise prepositions such as "all over", "out", "in", "with", "into", and "under". The fastest ones also managed to complete an editing exercise and an exercise on simple present and past tense.
We started on Fractions during math lesson and did paper folding to learn about halves, quarters and eighths. I'm glad many of you are really excited about learning fractions! That's a good start! Remember that when we talk about fractions, we are referring to equal parts.
Which of these show halves?
Which of these show quarters?
Here are today's reminders:
1) Please remember to work on your composition re-corrections today and hand it up to me tomorrow.
2) Re-spellers, remember your re-spelling tomorrow.
See you tomorrow! :)
Thank you Mr Wong may God bless you
