4 July 14 (Friday)

Dear children,

You would have been informed when we had our attire check today if you have to improve on your attire. Please be ready for a second check next Tuesday.

We had some fun during math lesson learning to use a beam balance to compare the masses of different objects like your pencil case, eraser, lunch box and highlighter. We also learnt to measure mass using two kinds of non-standard units -- multi-link cubes and marbles. Next week, we will move on to measuring mass using standard units

During English lesson, you worked on a grammar cloze exercise, an editing practice and a punctuation exercise. We also talked about the difference between the words "thought" and "taught" and made sentences with each of them. Before moving on to work on two comprehension exercises, David and Amelie shared with us some interesting information that they found out about caterpillars, butterflies and moths, as well as some pictures of them. I learnt so much from their sharing and I hope you did too! What have you learnt from what they shared? Write a comment below to let them know! :)

Here's the ice-cream sticks update for this week:

Phoenix, Impossibles and Genius are leading this week! Which group will work hard to become the Group of July? We'll see. ;)

This weekend, please remember to show all your Fractions booklets to your parents and ask for a signature on each of them. Bring them back on Tuesday for me to check.

Have an enjoyable weekend and Youth Day holiday with your family. See you back in school on Tuesday! :)

  1. Mr Wong,
Unfortunately,I did not get results about,'do butterflies' wings have capillaries and
    arteries?'
The results said,'butterflies' wings have veins.'

    Best Regards,
