1 September 14 (Monday)

Dear children,

We applauded Hobbit today for winning the Group of the Month award for August. Beaming with pride, Joshua, Isaac, Phoebe and Luke received their certificates and prizes from me. Well done, Hobbit! :)

So far, 18 of you have received at least one prize from me this year. If you are one of the 14 who have not, aim to do so! Work hard with your group. We have 3 more months to go. My prizes and certificates are waiting for you!

While I had individual oral practices with some of your friends, you worked on a self-directed learning package on the topic of money. I could see that you made an effort to improve in your behaviour when it comes to learning with a laptop on your own. All of you looked very engaged. You learnt to be independent and manage your own time too. I hope you have learnt as much of the important concepts in the package as you could. I will get to see how much you have really learnt when I mark your work later.

My AskNLearn records show that some of you have not completed the package. Complete it at home. That will be your homework before we meet tomorrow.

Here are today's reminders:

1) If you have not submitted your Spelling Book, submit it tomorrow.

2) If you have not submitted all your composition corrections and re-corrections together with your red file, submit them tomorrow.

3) This Wednesday will be the last day we will be meeting face-to-face for this term. You do not need to go to school on Thursday as the teachers will be celebrating Teachers' Day in the afternoon. However, there will be E-learning tasks assigned to you on the AskNLearn portal. You will have to log on at 9 a.m. on Thursday. I will meet you online.

4) I heard from a few of your parents that they were not able to receive the Administrative Information for September through SNAC. There might have been some problems with SNAC. Please let your parents know that they can view that document on the school website by clicking on this link:

There is important information for this month that they will need to know, so please be a responsible child and inform your parents.

5) Bring the materials you need for your plasticine artwork tomorrow.

6) Bring the sketches of your imaginary hybrid creatures tomorrow again. You will need to refer to them when completing your PowerPoint illustration during your computer lesson.
