Dear children,

I hope you had a restful break and a good time of bonding with your family! :)

As you prepare to return to school on Monday for a new term of learning and revision, please take note of these reminders and announcements for you:

1) Remember to bring back the Oral Practice Test marks sheet on Monday for me to check. This should have been signed by your parent.

2) Submit your English E-learning homework to me on Monday for checking.

3) Your Oral Examination will be held in the hall on Tuesday (16 September). I believe you have spent time during the holidays practising for the Stimulus-based Conversation with your parents. In addition to the SBC samples you have been given so far in class and on AskNLearn, you might want to practise thinking and talking about the following topics:

-Hobbies

-Toys & games

-Types of books

-Holiday activities

-Festivals and celebrations

-Places of attraction

I do not know the topic that will be tested for the Oral Examination, so these are not hints. They are simply suggestions to give you more practice with your parents. Have a good time conversing with your parents so that they know even more about you than they already do. :)

4) You should have placed the plastic sleeves containing your English and Math tests for Term 3 into your HA Portfolio at home. Keep them well at home. You do not need to bring them to school anymore unless I have told you to bring them to me for signature checking.

5) If there are re-corrections for your compositions in Term 3 that have not been submitted for marking, hand in your red Composition File on Monday. Otherwise, you may keep your file at home for revision.

6) You would have received your Term 4 Spelling List. When you have time, you may start preparing for our first spelling for this term.

7) Bring your Spelling Book on Monday. If your Spelling Book is running out of empty pages, please prepare a new one for this term.

8) If you are interested to participate in the art competition I informed you about in my blog post last Thursday, please write a comment below to let me know. So far, I have heard from Vanessa, Shineta, Phoebe, Thaneeisha, Janine and Zane. :)

9) If you are holding on to your Monitor/Monitress/Group Leader tag from last term, please bring it on Monday so that the new class leaders can have them.
