3 September 14 (Wednesday)

Dear children,

We celebrated Teachers' Day in the hall this afternoon. I must say that when you sang the song "In this moment", I was really touched. Your singing was sincere and beautiful. Thank you. :)

I was impressed with the Guzheng performance put up by Natalie, the violin performance put up by Brian and Ashley, the modern dance performance put up by Vanessa, and the song presentation by our Junior Leaders -- Ezra, Seth, Janine, Brian and Risa. Thank you very much for practising hard so that you could put up such fantastic performances for us. I enjoyed myself, and I am sure all the other teachers did too. Here are some pictures and videos to share with you:

Thank you, too, for the thoughtful cards and presents that you gave me. I especially like the big folder with all your cards and messages in it. Thank you for that pleasant surprise! I had totally no clue what you and your parents were up to for the past weeks. I like it so much because it is a class effort, and even more so because you involved your parents too. This must have been a huge project. From now on, I will no longer allow Zane to chase me out of the classroom for five minutes.

Today marks the last day of service for the faithful and responsible leaders of P2/2 Joy. Elijah, Raeann, Elizabeth, Sheena, Joshua, Vanessa, Thaneeisha, Cullen, Zhi Zong, Shineta, Isaac and Zane have served the class well for the past 10 weeks. They truly deserve the certificates of recognition given out to them.

Dylan and Wei Xiang received certificates of improvement for their hard work and great improvement in English. I hope all of us can see the two of them as good examples of children who keep on putting in effort and hard work! :)
