Dear children,
These are today's announcements and reminders:
1) We will not be meeting from Tuesday to Friday for lessons. Please log on to AskNLearn for the next four mornings to complete your e-learning tasks for each day.
2) I will continue to update this blog during the e-learning days, so please check back here every evening after 7 p.m.. On some days, there might be additional materials I want you to refer to and additional tasks that I would like you to complete to help you for revision.
3) Your English Examination will be held on next Monday (20 October). You will be taking both the Composition Examination (Paper 1) and the Language Examination (Paper 2). Please prepare well. Here's what you can earn for your group this time round if you do well:
Composition Examination
15 to 15.5 marks: 9 ice-cream sticks
16 to 16.5 marks: 11 ice-cream sticks
17 to 17.5 marks: 13 ice-cream sticks
18 to 18.5 marks: 15 ice-cream sticks

Isn't this a great chance for you to contribute to your group? Work hard! Your group might just win this round! :)
4) Work on your corrections for your "The Growl" composition you received today. Show it to your parents and ask for a signature. Submit it when we meet next Monday.
5) You would have received your Spelling Book from me today. Complete your corrections and update your contents page. Show it to your parents and ask for a signature. Bring it back next Monday.
6) I have uploaded Seth's composition for "The Best Pet" and Raeann's composition for "The Fisherman and His Wife" to Dropbox to share with you. Click on this folder link to find their stories:
If I have requested for you to type out your story and e-mail me for class sharing, please try to do so as soon as you can so that your friends can learn from you as early as possible. Thank you for being helpful! :)
7) In November, our school's Boys' Brigade Company will be distributing donated items to some less fortunate citizens living in the Kampong Glam area. This is a chance for us to care for the poor in Singapore.
So far, the only donations from our class are from Shineta and her family. They have donated 48 cans of peanuts and lettuce, 33 packets of instant noodles, and 36 sachets of Milo. If you and your family would also like to show care for the poor in this way, simply bring one or more of the items below to school before end October. You don't have to give a lot. Every little contribution helps to bless the less fortunate. The Bible tells us that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
-Cup noodles
-Instant noodles
-Packs of beverage sachets (e.g. cereals, tea, coffee, Milo, etc.)
-Small boxes of detergent
-Canned lettuce or peanuts
-Japanese plaster (e.g. Salonpas)
-Small tins of sardines
-Bath soap
-Biscuits (No cream crackers, please)
-Face towels
Have a great time of e-learning and revision at home! The next few days are precious. Make good use of them so that you will be really prepared to show everyone how much you have learnt this year! :)
