4 August 14 (Monday)

Dear children,

We spent today rehearsing for your drama performance with Ms Ana and the other eight classes in the hall. By now, you should already be familiar with your position on the stage and how you should enter and exit it. You would also have gotten better at the role you are playing and have a clear idea of the flow of the whole concert.

We gave out the Group of the Month award for July to Impossibles too. Jonathan received his Level 4 prizes for winning the award for the fourth time this year -- he's the first one to achieve this in the class! Seth received his Level 2 prizes while Vanessa and Dylan received their Level 1 prizes. Well done, Impossibles! :)

Here is the score update:

As promised, this is the list of winning groups since January:

You have four more months left to earn your certificates and prizes. Try your best! Everyone in P2/2 JOY must aim to earn at least a Level 1 prize by November. Besides looking out for the group that will win in August, I'm also looking forward to see who will be the one that earns the prize of the highest level. Remember to be at your best no matter which group you're in! :)

Here are today's reminders:

1) Show your parents the note you stapled in your handbook today. They need to know the important information regarding 8 August.

2) This is a summary of what Mrs David briefed you in the hall regarding your timetable on 8 August:
9.30 a.m. - 10.30 a.m.: Gather in class to prepare for drama performance
10.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m.: National Day programme in Hall
11.30 a.m. - 11.40 a.m.: Prepare for drama performance
11.40 a.m. - 12.45 p.m.: Drama performances and closing song

3) If you have not shown your parents your "A Butterfly Is Born" booklet and asked for a signature, please do that. Submit it to me for checking tomorrow.

4) We will not have art lesson tomorrow, so you do not need to bring your art materials. I want to spend more time getting you ready for the English Language Test to be held on next Wednesday, 13 August. If we have time tomorrow, you will work on a Practice Test to prepare yourself for the actual test.

5) There will be no school next Monday (11 August).

See you tomorrow! :)
